Jam Jar Hydroponic Planter
Turns an empty jam jar into a hydroponic planter.

An insert that fits an empty jam or yoghurt jar. The plant sits in the holder at the top while the roots grow down into the water. Supermarket basil lasts considerably longer this way than it does in a pot of soil.
The jar stays visible, so you can always see how much water is left and how the roots are doing. Free, because it came out of an idle evening.
